Join Our Team as an Interventions Specialist (KS1)

Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Interventions Specialist to work with KS1 students who either have special educational needs (SEN) or require extra support with their attainment. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young learners, providing targeted interventions to help them overcome challenges and succeed in their early education journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored interventions to small groups and 1:1 sessions, focusing on children’s specific needs in literacy, numeracy, and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to create and implement individualized learning strategies.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting interventions to support ongoing development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages growth and resilience.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff to provide updates on pupil progress and support strategies.

Essential Experience/Attributes:

  • Experience working with young children, particularly in supporting SEN and attainment needs.
  • Knowledge of intervention techniques and strategies for supporting KS1 learners.
  • A DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach that inspires confidence in young learners.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality policies.
