Teaching Assistant needed for the new academic year – September 2023. Secure a new role in education early!

Job Title: Teaching Assistant 

Location: Woking

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am til 3:30pm) but Part Time (3 or 4 days a week) considered. Term Time Only. Long-term placement, with the goal of permanent.

Start Date: September 2023

Salary: £76 per day minimum 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work at our wonderful school. It boasts excellent facilities that cater to the needs of every pupil. This is a full-time position, with a competitive salary of £80 per day. However, we are also open to considering part-time roles (3 or 4 days a week) for excellent candidates. The successful candidate will join their supportive and friendly team.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one or group support for pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to reach their full potential.
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons, and adapting materials to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Developing strong working relationships with parents/carers, communicating regularly with them to update them on progress and areas for improvement.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one
  • Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
  • Confident working with children & young people in SEN/SEMH
  • Experience working with children & young people (desired)
  • Experience working with children & young people in SEN (desired)
