What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to help students thrive.
- Creating a safe, positive, and inspiring classroom environment.
- Assisting students with special educational needs or behavioural challenges.
- Helping manage classroom behaviour and fostering a calm learning atmosphere.
- Preparing learning materials and resources for lessons.
- Supervising students during break times and school activities, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with SEND is fantastic, but not essential. Backgrounds in care, nurseries, support work, or volunteering with transferable skills are equally valued.
- Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach.
- Qualities: Patience, empathy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with young people.
- Requirements: A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and availability during school hours.
