We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at our SEND school in Chichester. Our school caters for pupils aged 2-19 years with severe and complex learning needs. We have an experienced and committed team who are dedicated to high standards of education, care, and supporting pupils to regulate. We aim to make the learning experience fun with a specially designed personalised curriculum that meets the specific needs of each individual.

Key responsibilities:

Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with severe and complex learning needs
Assisting teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons
Supporting pupils with their personal care needs
Encouraging and motivating pupils to reach their full potential
Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents/guardians
Attending training sessions and staff meetings as required

Requirements:

Previous experience working with pupils with severe and complex learning needs
A positive and proactive attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
