Pink Tile Education, in partnership with a prestigious secondary school, is seeking a dedicated SEND Support Assistant to be a part of the fabulous SEND department. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a mainstream school and provide essential support to students with special educational needs and disabilities.

Position Overview: As a SEND Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the school’s SEND department, offering tailored assistance to students with diverse learning needs. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, starting from February Half Term 2024, providing a unique chance to make a lasting impact on the educational journeys of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students in Key Stage 3 and 4 who have special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Provide personalized support to address individual learning requirements.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and the SEND department to implement and adapt learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking the progress of students with SEND.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant experience working as a SEND Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Understanding of the diverse needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for facilitating the success of students with SEND.
