We are looking for enthusiastic and resilient individuals to join our school in Crawley as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This is an incredible opportunity to support students with Autism, fostering their educational development and helping them navigate any challenging behaviours.

About the Role:

• Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

• Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term time only)

• Salary: £97 – £99 per day

• Start Date: ASAP

• Location: Just outside of Burgess Hill, drivers preferred but not essential

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with our experienced teaching team to:

• Provide tailored educational support to secondary-aged students with Autism.

• Encourage and facilitate engagement in lessons and school activities.

• Support students in managing their emotions and behaviour using established strategies.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to provide holistic care and education.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking individuals with the following qualities and experience:

• Personal or professional experience with Autism, whether through work, volunteering, or supporting family members.

• Enthusiasm for working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.

• A proactive, active, and hands-on approach to learning support.

• Empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills.

• The ability to adapt to the diverse emotional and behavioural needs of students.

• Interest or studies in psychology, education, or related fields (advantageous but not essential).
