Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and helping them achieve their full potential? Our client secondary school in Crawley is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term position starting in September/October 2024.

About the Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and promoting positive educational outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the delivery of tailored lesson plans for students with SEND.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students to meet their individual needs.
• Helping to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress and providing feedback to teachers and support staff.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and have a strong understanding of SEND support techniques.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 weeks UK school-based experience.
• Valid DBS on the update service.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
