Job Title: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher

Responsibilities:

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons: Create and implement effective, differentiated lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEND.
Individualised Learning: Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs, ensuring academic and personal growth.
Collaborate with colleagues: Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and other teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies and interventions as needed to promote positive outcomes.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and external professionals involved in the students’ care to ensure a collaborative approach to support.
Inclusive Practices: Foster an inclusive and accepting classroom environment that encourages the social and emotional well-being of students with SEND.

Requirements:

Teaching Qualifications: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with specific training or experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Experience: Demonstrable experience working with students with SEND in a teaching capacity.
Knowledge: Stay abreast of the latest developments in SEND education, best practices, and relevant legislation.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and needs.
Team Player: Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Passion: Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting the academic and personal development of students with SEND.
