Job Title: SEN Teacher
Hours: Full-time (Term Time)
A primary school in Worthing is looking for a skilled and dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver engaging and tailored lessons for small groups of children with additional needs. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of SEN strategies, effective interventions, and best practices to support these pupils in overcoming challenges. This position focuses on creating a positive, nurturing environment where children can grow academically and personally, helping them build confidence and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons to small groups of pupils with diverse SEN needs, adapting materials and methods as required.
- Implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating closely with the SENCo and other staff.
- Utilise a range of interventions and approaches to engage pupils, enhance their learning, and support social, emotional, and academic development.
- Track and record pupil progress, providing feedback and making informed adjustments to teaching strategies.
- Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to ensure a cohesive support network for each child.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment that promotes independence, resilience, and positive engagement.

Essential Experience/Attributes:
- Extensive experience working with primary-aged children with a wide range of SEN needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and best practice in educational settings.
- Ability to differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- A DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
