About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialized educational setting in Littlehampton. In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Work closely with students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Provide academic and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
  • Use your skills to manage and de-escalate challenging behavior, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support students’ development and well-being.

About You:

This role is ideal for:

  • Youth workers, mental health support workers, or those with similar experience working with young people.
  • Individuals with experience supporting children or young people with SEND or SEMH needs.
  • Those with a calm, resilient, and compassionate approach.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEND.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training.
