Teaching Assistant – Supply Staff (with a potential view of part/full time) – Brighton and Hove – East Sussex

This opportunity will involve working closely with primary-aged and secondary-aged children to support their development. Teaching Assistant required for day-to-day cover – Brighton and Hove

Minimum Requirements:

Natural ability and understanding when working with young people, especially those with SEND.
Passion for helping and supporting children develop confidence and achievement.
Good behaviour management skills.

Desirable, but not essential:

Nursery experience/personal care experience
NVQ Level 2/3
A driver or have access to local transport links

Like all teaching assistant roles, the majority of your work will be working with young people with SEND (Special Educations Needs & Disabilities) and/or SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health). The role needs you to adapt quickly, to build relationships with children as you go through the day and be ready in the face of a challenge such as behaviour management. Experience is not essential, but a positive, resilient, flexible personality is needed, whichever class you are working with, whatever year group you are working with.

– Term time roles (must be available 8:30 – 3:30 on the days available)

– Workers only looking for the odd couple of days around other commitments e.g. self-employment, childcare, weekend work, auditions, etc.

The pay starts at £76+ per day (typical 6.5 hour day), depending on the hours of the school looking for supply.
