Teaching Assistant – Supply Staff (with a potential view of part/full time) – Brighton and Hove – East Sussex

Pink Tile Education are a specialist in teaching opportunities across Sussex. Currently, we are recruiting for wonderful, forward-thinking and ambitious schools in Brighton and Hove who are seeking ad-hoc, supply Teaching Assistants to join their highly skilled teams. This opportunity will involve working closely with primary-aged and secondary-aged children to support their development. All our schools have a highly effective senior leadership team and are able to demonstrate outstanding teaching and learning. This role will provide you with a platform to further your practice and to be flexible. Please get in touch to learn more about this outstanding job.

Our schools are always looking for teaching assistants to cover their staff as and when they are needed. If a full-time role does not suit your current lifestyle, be part of the team in a different way! We look to cover staff in advance, taking your availability week-to-week to match you up with some of our exciting, local schools.

By being on hand, you will create relationships with the school and the children that could see you offered a part-time full-time role in the future – should you be looking for that opportunity.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with school children in and around Brighton and Hove. If you are seeking an opportunity as a bank staff teaching assistant and have the relevant skills, we want to hear from you.

Are you:

  • Passionate about inspiring young people to develop and grow?
  • Looking for a role that will fit your lifestyle?
  • Creative, dedicated and willing to work as part of a high-performing team?
  • Do you have good classroom management skills?

Teaching Assistant required for day-to-day cover – Brighton and Hove

Minimum Requirements:

  • Natural ability and understanding when working with young people, especially those with SEND.
  • Passion for helping and supporting children develop confidence and achievement.
  • Good behaviour management skills.
Desirable, but not essential:
  • Nursery experience/personal care experience
  • NVQ Level 2/3
  • A driver or have access to local transport links
Like all teaching assistant roles, the majority of your work will be working with young people with SEND (Special Educations Needs & Disabilities) and/or SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health). The role needs you to adapt quickly, to build relationships with children as you go through the day and be ready in the face of a challenge such as behaviour management. Experience is not essential, but a positive, resilient, flexible personality is needed, whichever class you are working with, whatever year group you are working with.

This role will suit:
– Gap Year Students
– Aspiring Teaching Assistants/educators
– Semi-retired workers of education
– Term time roles (must be available 8:30 – 3:30 on the days available)
– Workers only looking for the odd couple of days around other commitments e.g. self-employment, childcare, weekend work, auditions, etc.
