Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Special Education Teacher to join the schools’ dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional education to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional well-being.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods and materials as necessary.
Foster effective communication with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and individualized goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent certification.
Experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges.
Flexibility and willingness to teach a variety of subjects based on the needs of the students.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
