Secondary School RE Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher to join our team from January on a maternity cover basis until the end of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students, contributing to their academic and personal development.

Key Details:

• Contract: Maternity cover from January until the end of the academic year.
• Pay Scale: Aligned with the Teacher’s Main Pay Scale.
• Potential for Permanency: Opportunity to transition into a permanent position if both parties agree around Easter.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Teach RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.
• Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum guidelines.
• Foster a positive learning environment that supports student progress and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s RE curriculum.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and wider school activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and has experience teaching RE at the secondary level.
• Demonstrates a commitment to student achievement and inclusive education.
• Has excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Is adaptable and willing to contribute to the wider school community.
