A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming school in Brighton. You will take responsibility for a dedicated class of eager learners, guiding them through this important phase of their education. The role involves delivering structured and engaging lessons, monitoring pupil progress, and contributing to the overall development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach the Year 1 curriculum in line with school and national standards.
• Assess and record pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
• Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure continuity and consistency across all aspects of school life.
• Engage with parents and carers to keep them informed of their child’s development.

Essential Experience/Attributes:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Training or experience relevant to Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1.
• Effective classroom management and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A DBS check registered on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
