Our client is an outstanding ASD Specialist SEND School catering for ASD and complex needs. An excellent support package will be available for the successful candidate. The role involves working 1:1 & in groups with Autistic pupils of primary age. You will receive second-to-none guidance on carrying out your role safely, positively & effectively. 

The school is an amazing setting for young people with therapeutic resources available including a farm with goats, chickens, horses & more! There is an emphasis on outdoors & creativity but also a focus in part on core & non-core subject learning.

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational individual to join our clients team with proven track records in achieving high standards of quality.

No experience working with young people? No problem! Our client provides excellent support & they are always in search of people that have the right mentality, home experience or transferrable skills from other sectors (hospitality, retail, customer service, care & medical, e.g.).

Key areas of responsibility:

• Supporting the delivery of lessons
• Working closely with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis to support their learning. 
• Assisting group learning & activities
• Promoting and enabling social development opportunities
• Promoting positivity & ensuring a safe learning environment 

Desirable:

• Experience of working with students with a range of complex needs, including ASC or Emotional, Social and Attachment related needs.
• Experience working with behaviour & the use of interventions/strategies in education
