We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team at a special needs school in Horsham. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and development of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of each child.
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate a range of learning styles and abilities.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to provide a holistic approach to education.
Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible support for each student.
Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and understanding of SEND.
Uphold the school’s ethos and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of differentiated teaching methods and behaviour management strategies.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
