Job Title: L3 Nursery Practitioner
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00 (Term Time Only)

A small nursery in Worthing is seeking a L3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team full-time. In this role, you will plan, deliver, and assess early years activities that support the learning and development of young children. You will work in a busy nursery environment, collaborating closely with colleagues to create a safe and nurturing space where every child can grow. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a proven track record in early years education who is committed to making a positive impact in the formative years of children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities and experiences
  • Implement the nursery curriculum and assess children’s progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
  • Engage with parents and carers to share progress updates and discuss developmental needs
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and health and safety policies
  • Assist in organising resources and supporting nursery routines

Essential Experience/Attributes

  • Previous experience working with children that have special educational needs
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting
  • A DBS check registered on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
  • A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • The ability to remain calm in challenging situations and respond to the needs of the pupils
  • Must be able to understand and follow the nursery’s safeguarding procedures and behavioural policies
  • Level 3 qualification in Nursery Practice or Early Years Education is essential
