Job Title: Level 3 Nursery Assistant
Hours: 4 days a week (exact hours to be discussed)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Assistant to join a warm and nurturing team in Brighton. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the early education and development of young children, ensuring that each child is given the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development to work in a supportive setting that encourages creativity, learning, and child-led play. Your role will involve providing day-to-day support within the nursery, helping to implement educational activities, and contributing to the overall well-being of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children in line with early years curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with EYFS guidelines.
  • Support children’s emotional and social development, ensuring they feel safe, secure, and confident.
  • Work closely with the team to observe children’s progress and report any concerns or achievements to senior staff.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the children’s development and well-being.
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and a positive atmosphere.

Essential Experience/Attributes:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patient, nurturing, and caring approach to working with young children.
  • DBS check registered on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
