Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our Client, a fantastic, forward-thinking & ambitious special school specialising in Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs in Crowborough. The pupil community is diverse & spans KS3 to KS4, with mostly secondary pupils. You will support the team in providing an opportunity for these young people to re-engage and enjoy the core curriculum, as well as other activities. The school boast an incredible education programme personalised for the students with a focus on creative arts & healthy living, along with vocational/work place skills & social/communication support.
This is a long-term, ongoing placement with a view to make permanent for the right candidate.
Rate of pay: £72 – £77 per day (dependent on experience)
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one (we can help you to obtain one before your start date)
Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
Confident working with children & young people in SEN
Resilience and a can-do, proactive attitude the young people can look up to
Experience working with children & young people (desired)
Experience working with children & young people in SEN (desired)
Responsibilities:
Support class teacher
Support the pupils (wellbeing, pastoral, educational)
Understand individual needs & adapt approach
