Pay Scale: Surrey Fringe MPS/UPS plus TLR2 and SEN Allowance of £2,679 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Literacy Lead Teacher to join our team. This role involves working with small class sizes of secondary-aged pupils who are working at a primary level. Experience in Upper KS2 is essential, as you will be responsible for leading and delivering an engaging and effective Literacy curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Literacy Leadership: Develop and implement a robust Literacy curriculum that meets the needs of our students.

  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality Literacy lessons to secondary-aged pupils working at a primary level.

  • Support and Guidance: Provide support and guidance to other teachers within the team to enhance Literacy teaching across the school.

  • Student Progress: Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing targeted support to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for teaching in the UK.

  • Experience: Proven experience in Upper KS2 teaching, particularly in Literacy.

  • Passion for Literacy: A genuine passion for teaching Literacy and improving student outcomes.

  • Strong Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team of dedicated teachers.
