A small nursery in Worthing is seeking a part-time L3 Nursery Practitioner to join their team. In this role you will plan, deliver, and assess early years activities that support the development of young children. You will work alongside colleagues in a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring that every child receives opportunities to learn and grow at their own pace. The position is ideal for a candidate with a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner qualification who has a strong background in working with young children and can demonstrate a clear record of supporting their development in a nursery setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate learning activities that align with the early years curriculum
  • Support the holistic development of children by fostering learning, social, and communication skills
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement the nursery curriculum and daily routines
  • Monitor and record children’s progress, providing valuable feedback to the team
  • Ensure a safe and secure learning environment by adhering to safeguarding procedures
  • Assist with resource organisation and routine nursery tasks as required

Essential Experience/Attributes

  • Previous experience working with children that have special educational needs
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • A DBS check registered on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
  • A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work within a team
  • The ability to be adaptable, remain calm in challenging situations and respond to the needs of the children
  • Must be able to understand and follow the nursery’s safeguarding procedures and behavioural policies
  • Level 3 Nursery Practitioner qualification in Early Years Education or Nursery Practice is essential
