Position Overview: Pink Tile Education is currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team, specializing in supporting autistic students. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals aspiring to build a fulfilling career in secondary education.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to autistic students within mainstream classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SEND department to implement tailored strategies for individual students.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the social and academic development of autistic students.
- Assist in the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the SEND department.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working with autistic students is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of autistic students.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
