Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a large secondary school in Worthing, West Sussex. The ideal candidate will support students in achieving their full potential by providing tailored assistance in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with their educational and personal development.
- Provide support to the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Foster a positive learning environment and encourage student engagement.
- Work with small groups or individual students to provide focused support.
- Assist with planning and implementing educational activities tailored to the needs of the students.
Requirements:
- Must have a DBS on the update service and be able to provide suitable references.
- Up-to-date safeguarding training is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
