The Role:

As a Dynamic Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  1. Tailor Support: Provide individualized support to students with SEND/SEMH needs, adapting your approach to meet their unique learning and emotional requirements.

  2. Nurture Well-being: Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere that promotes the mental and emotional well-being of students, helping them develop resilience and coping skills.

  3. Collaborate and Innovate: Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and fellow support staff to implement creative strategies and interventions that address the diverse needs of students.

  4. Encourage Independence: Support students in developing independence and confidence, both in their academic pursuits and daily life skills.

  5. Celebrate Diversity: Embrace and celebrate the diversity of our student body, fostering an inclusive and accepting environment where every learner feels valued.

Requirements:

  1. Passion for Support: Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting students with SEND/SEMH challenges, with a compassionate and patient approach.

  2. Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of students and the dynamic nature of an SEND/SEMH learning environment.

  3. Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with colleagues to create a supportive team that shares insights and best practices.

  4. Empathy: Possess a deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEND/SEMH, approaching every interaction with empathy and understanding.
