Position: Learning Support Assistants Location: Secondary School in Worthing Salary: £80 per day Immediate Start Dates

Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to students within the SEND department as well as across the school. Your responsibilities will include assisting students with their learning, providing one-to-one support, aiding in classroom activities, and ensuring that all students receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEND in various classroom settings.
  • Providing individualized assistance to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Supporting students during break times and extracurricular activities.
  • Engaging with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of the needs of students with SEND and a willingness to provide tailored support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of students and the school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or support work are desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
