Pink Tile Education are recruiting an Individual Needs Assistant to support individual needs (1:1) for our client, a fantastic, forward-thinking & ambitious school in Epsom. The pupil community is diverse & spans KS1 to KS2. You will support the team in providing an opportunity for your designated young person to engage and enjoy the core curriculum, as well as other activities.

This is a long-term, ongoing placement with a view to make permanent for the right candidate.

£76 per day minimum (£11.68 per hour).

Requirements

Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one
Resilience
Understanding of vulnerable young people & how to approach sensitive situations
Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
Confident working with children & young people in SEN/SEMH
Experience working with children & young people (desired)
Experience working with children & young people in SEN (desired)

Responsibilities

Support class teacher
Support the pupils with their tasks/activities & wellbeing
Understand individual needs of each student & adapt approach accordingly
