About the Role:
As a Humanities Teacher, you will:
- Teach engaging and stimulating lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering a broad range of humanities topics such as History, Geography, and more.
- Inspire students to develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of societal, historical, and geographical concepts.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and vibrant learning environment where students feel encouraged to engage and ask questions.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students progress and reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is advantageous, but applications from experienced UQTs (Unqualified Teachers) with relevant experience are also welcome.
- Experience: Experience in teaching humanities subjects at secondary level is desirable, but a passion for the subject and a commitment to student success are essential.
- Skills: Strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
- Attitude: A genuine enthusiasm for humanities and a desire to inspire students to engage with the world in meaningful ways.
- DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to obtain one).
