Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Crawley)

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Hours: Full-Time

Commencement Date: February 2024

About the Role:

Pink Tile Education is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a large mixed secondary school in Crawley. This full-time position, starting from February 2024, is a unique chance to be a key player in our client school’s dedicated SEND team, contributing to their commitment to inclusivity and support for students with varying abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality support to teachers and students in the classroom.
• Lead small group interventions and deliver pre-planned lessons when required.
• Work collaboratively with the SEND team to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
• Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress.

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in childcare or relevant field is desirable.
• Previous experience working with children and young people, either in a primary or secondary school setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to adapt and respond to the varying needs of students.
