Pink Tile Education is delighted to represent a dynamic primary school in Worthing, West Sussex, seeking a compassionate and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support children with additional learning and emotional needs. This full-time position offers an immediate start and provides a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to children across the school who require additional assistance with their learning and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCO to implement individualized learning plans and interventions for pupils.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic growth of all students.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated activities and resources to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Support pupils in managing their emotions, developing coping strategies, and building positive relationships with peers and adults.
- Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the assessment process.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning and emotional needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to respond to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, are preferred.
