Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team near Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons to students, fostering a love for cooking, nutrition, and healthy eating. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and career progression in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Food Technology lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel inspired to explore and experiment with food.
  • Teach students practical cooking skills, food hygiene practices, and nutritional principles.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work, resources, and assessment materials.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential. Candidates with a good knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum to GCSE level will be considered.
  • Relevant teaching experience in Food Technology or a related field.
  • Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in promoting healthy eating and nutrition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
