This role will suit:

* Childcare workaround – start at 9, finish at 2:45 (for example).  

* New Teaching Assistants looking for their first steps into the classroom to gain experience and add to their CV applications

* People with a love of working with children, looking for flexible days that suit their availability

* Future teachers and other careers with children – gain excellent classroom experience prior to University courses such as BA Hons/PGCE

* Experienced nursery/teachers/teaching assistants looking for part time roles without the commitment of full time.

* People looking to work with a wide age range of children/students to find their perfect fit for future roles

* Workers available up to five days, but perhaps want to work up to three/four days a week.

* TAs looking to gain hands-on SEN experience to further your career, perhaps alongside a teaching assistant online course.

* Teachers and support staff with non-UK qualifications looking for experience in UK schools (must have a right to work already in place),

Our schools are always looking for teaching assistants to cover their staff. If a full time role does not suit your current availability, be part of the team in a different way! We look to cover staff in advance and it will be up to you whether you can cover.

By being on hand, and obtaining these bank days, you will create relationships with the school and the pupils that could aid a potential full time role in the future – should you be looking for that opportunity.

Teaching Assistant required for day-to-day cover – Brighton and Hove,  East Sussex

Minimum Requirements: 

• Natural ability when working with young people
• Passion for helping and supporting children develop confidence and achieve.
• behaviour management skills, learning from professionals around you as well as your own professional development.
• An enhanced child DBS on the update service (can obtain during clearance)
• A completed safeguarding certificate (can obtain during clearance).

• Nursery experience (for Primary supply)
• Classroom experience
• A car, or access to public transport (all schools can be accessed by train and bus routes)
• Flexibility in age group, but not essential (e.g. if you only want primary)

Pink Tile Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful applicants will be required to undertake various background checks including obtaining a DBS, if they do not hold a valid certificate that is on the update service. A safeguarding certificate will also need to be obtained via an online course prior to first placement.

Please note that this is not a part-time, long term post and should be seen as day-to-day bank cover.
