As an English Tutor, you will play a key role in supporting secondary school students’ learning and fostering their enthusiasm for English.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing one-to-one tutoring and teaching small classes of up to four students.
- Supporting and upskilling secondary school students to improve their English skills, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Helping students prepare for exams and achieve their target grades.
- Creating tailored lesson plans to address individual and group learning needs.
- Building students’ confidence in English and enhancing their communication skills.
- Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback to help them succeed.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Some experience tutoring or teaching English (highly desirable).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with secondary school students.
- A genuine passion for English and education.
- A DBS certificate on the update service (essential).
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (essential).
