Job Title: English Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Large Secondary School near Bognor Regis
Start Date: October 2024
Salary: MPS/UPS (Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified English Teacher to join a large secondary school near Bognor Regis. This role is for maternity cover and will involve teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, including all aspects of planning and marking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English from KS3 to KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.
• Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements.
• Contribute to the development of the English department.
• Ensure a positive learning environment that motivates and supports students.
• Maintain up-to-date records, providing feedback and reports on student progress.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
• Must have an up-to-date DBS registered on the update service.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures is required.
