Job Title: English Teacher (KS3 & KS4) Location: SEMH School, Surrey Guildford Salary: MPS/UPS plus TLR2 and SEN allowance of £2679 per annum

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at an SEMH school in the Surrey area. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.

  • Create a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.

  • Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels.

  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and experience working in an SEMH or similar setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
