Are you a passionate English graduate looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching? A fantastic secondary school in Worthing is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support their thriving English department from Easter 2025.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
✅ Support students in English lessons, helping them to develop their literacy skills
✅ Work with small groups and one-to-one interventions to boost confidence and attainment
✅ Assist teachers with lesson planning and classroom management
✅ Gain invaluable hands-on experience in a supportive and high-achieving school
✅ Be part of a dedicated team that fosters a nurturing and aspirational learning environment
🎓 2:1 or higher in English Literature, English Language, or a related subject
📚 At least 6 weeks of experience working with children or young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, classroom support)
✅ A genuine passion for education and a desire to inspire students
🔍 An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education
