What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but we welcome applications from unqualified teachers who have relevant experience.
- Experience:
- Demonstrable experience teaching Design Technology and Food Technology at secondary level.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential.
- Food Hygiene Certification:
- Candidates must hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to obtain one (the school will cover the cost of certification).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Design Technology, including Food Technology, aligned with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Effectively manage classroom behaviour, ensuring all students can thrive and reach their full potential.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Design Technology department.
