Design Technology Teacher

Salary: £150 to £210 per day

Are you an experienced Teacher of Design Technology, searching for a new role? We are seeking a Design Technology Teacher for one of our schools in Crawley, for a January start. The school has an active learning environment. They inspire students to be enthusiastic and passionate about learning and to take risks even though it can be difficult and challenging. Job Responsibilities: To teach Design technology to efficiently prepare and present lessons in line with the demands of the Department’s Scheme of Work and National Curriculum To teach Design Technology to KS3 and KS4 students
To periodically evaluate and record students’ progress, reporting to the department head and parents as necessary, and providing feedback as necessary. Participating in departmental and staff meetings as necessary to support departmental and overall school growth
A successful candidate will have A degree or the equivalent in Design & Technology or which has a significant component of Design Technology, a qualified teacher with QTS or QTLS
Must have prior experience teaching DT to secondary students Up-to-date knowledge of current educational developments in DT and experience of using ICT in Design and Technology
The mindset to ensure and promote the safety and welfare of the students at the school by taking responsibility for it. Be a professional, passionate, and enthusiastic educator. Have an Enhanced DBS of Child workforce on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
