What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, following lesson plans provided by teachers.
- Ensure students are engaged and on task, offering support where needed to help them succeed.
- Keep a positive and respectful atmosphere in the classroom, encouraging students to stay focused and follow instructions.
- Help maintain a calm and productive learning environment, stepping in to manage behaviour where necessary.
- Play a key role in ensuring that learning continues smoothly, even when the regular teacher is away.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: A background in teaching or working within a secondary school setting, with a good understanding of classroom dynamics.
- Skills: Strong classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to engage students and keep them focused.
- DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or the willingness to obtain one).
- Attitude: A positive and flexible attitude, with a genuine passion for helping students achieve their best.
