Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team from September 2024. This role is perfect for both qualified and unqualified individuals who possess a deep understanding of the school curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage classrooms during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Ensure students remain engaged with pre-set work and assist where necessary.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Uphold the school’s behavior policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support student learning and development.
• Maintain up-to-date safeguarding practices.

Requirements:

• Understanding of the school curriculum is essential.
• QTS is not required, but advantageous.
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting preferred.
• Must have a current DBS on the update service.
• Must have up-to-date safeguarding training.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students at all levels.

Remuneration:

• Pay rate for unqualified individuals: £120 per day
