Cover Supervisor – Full-Time – Secondary School in Crawley

Are you confident leading and managing large groups of students? Do you have experience in teaching or working with young people? Our client, a well-respected secondary school in Crawley, is seeking a dedicated and professional Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, ensure students remain on task, and maintain a positive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience or for those with teaching experience seeking a more flexible role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver lesson plans left by subject teachers and manage classroom behaviour.
• Provide support to students in completing tasks and maintaining engagement.
• Assist with general classroom administration.

What We’re Looking For:

• A valid DBS on the update service is essential.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training.
• Previous experience teaching or leading large groups of children and young people is required.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach to working within a school environment.

Salary: £110-£125 per day (dependent on experience)
