Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Salary: £110 per day
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Temporary, Term Time Only (plus INSET days)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our client secondary school in Chichester on a temporary basis. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students during teacher absences. This involves supervising classes, ensuring students remain on task, and supporting their learning by following lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Follow and deliver lesson plans and activities as set by the absent teacher.
  • Maintain discipline and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.
  • Support students with their learning, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students during class time.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and contribute to the wider school community as required.

  • Must have completed safeguarding training.
