Location: Secondary School in Worthing
Salary: £110 per day

Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff. You will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that pre-prepared work is completed and maintaining a positive learning environment. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the education sector and make a meaningful impact on the education of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising whole classes across various subjects and year groups.
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring that students remain on task.
• Managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Providing support to students who require assistance with their work.
• Liaising with teaching staff to ensure effective delivery of curriculum content.
• Completing administrative tasks as required, such as taking registers and reporting back to teaching staff.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence in managing classroom behavior and maintaining order.
• Ability to follow instructions and deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
• Previous experience working with children or young adults is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
