Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Ensure students are engaged with the set work and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Support students with their learning and help address any issues that arise.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and classroom behaviour.
- Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a teaching or classroom support role is desirable.
- A current DBS certificate on the update service is essential.
- Up-to-date safeguarding training is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
