About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Computing Specialist to join our vibrant secondary school team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computing, particularly in Scratch animation and other key programming tools, with the ability to teach computing across Key Stages 3 and 4. Additionally, you will be required to provide cover for Maths lessons when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and creative computing lessons.
- Incorporate Scratch animation and other programming concepts into the curriculum.
- Provide high-quality Maths lesson cover when required.
- Support and inspire students to achieve their best in both computing and Maths.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or relevant qualifications with demonstrable teaching experience.
- Proven experience teaching computing in a secondary school setting, including Scratch animation.
- Up-to-date DBS clearance registered on the Update Service.
- Safeguarding training that is up to date.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for education.
