Computer Science Teacher (KS3, KS4, KS5)

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, equipping students with the essential skills for success in an increasingly digital world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach a range of topics, including programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, and data representation
  • Support and challenge students to reach their full potential, adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and targeted support
  • Contribute to the development of the Computer Science curriculum and department initiatives
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs or STEM projects

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting
  • Experience teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Strong subject knowledge, including programming languages such as Python or Java
  • An up-to-date DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A passion for computing and the ability to inspire students

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with A-Level Computer Science delivery
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in education
  • Familiarity with exam board specifications and assessment criteria
  • Ability to contribute to whole-school digital learning strategies
