Teaching Assistant (SEMH Support)
Location: Littlehampton
Hours: 08:15 – 15:15 (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), 08:15 – 17:00 (Tuesday)

We are seeking an energetic, resilient, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our team in Littlehampton. What You’ll Do:
- Provide hands-on support to children with SEMH needs, helping them manage behaviour and develop positive relationships.
- Implement individual behaviour and care plans, tailoring your approach to each student’s unique needs.
- Build trust and rapport with students, creating a safe, encouraging, and structured environment.
- Use creative and active methods to engage students in learning and personal development.
- Track and report on student progress, working closely with teachers and staff to adapt strategies as needed.
- Contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere where every student feels supported and valued.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children who have SEMH needs or behavioural challenges.
- Skills: Strong behaviour management and the ability to stay calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
- Energy: A proactive, hands-on approach to engaging with children and encouraging participation.
- Teamwork: Effective communication and a collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with staff and students.
- Commitment: Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a willingness to uphold the highest standards of care.
- Checks: A DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Backgrounds:
Candidates with experience in behaviour management, sports, or active roles often excel in this position. While formal qualifications in education, behaviour management, or related fields are a plus, we value practical experience and a passion for supporting children above all.
