JOB TITLE: Teacher (QTS)
This Autism specialist school provides tailored education and care to children and young people with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a continuously developing service. LINE MANAGER: Teaching & Learning Coordinator
STAFF REPORTING TO YOU: Learning Support Assistants
SALARY SCALE: MPG + Management point if additional responsibilities are allocated
WORKING HOURS:
The Teacher is responsible for leading a class within the school’s age-phase groups. Key responsibilities include assessing student needs, planning and delivering group and individual programs, monitoring progress, and contributing to the school’s wider aims and ethos. Teachers are expected to employ specialized teaching approaches for learners with ASD and manage Learning Support Assistants effectively.
Teachers with subject specialism may also oversee curriculum delivery across the school as subject coordinators, receiving a management point for this responsibility.
