Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist speech and language therapy to students with a range of communication needs.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop tailored intervention plans to support students’ speech, language, and communication development.
- Work closely with teaching staff, support teams, and external professionals to integrate therapy into the school environment.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring progress is monitored and adapted as needed.
- Train and advise staff on communication strategies to enhance learning and inclusion.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCPs and multi-agency meetings.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree and HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working with secondary-aged students with communication difficulties, including ASD, SLCN, and SEMH needs.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- 29.6 hours per week (part-time, flexible working considered).
