Job Title: Administrative Officer  
Location: East Grinstead
Contract Terms: 45 weeks per year

  • This small independent day school is dedicated to supporting autistic children and young people. We specialize in providing individualized teaching for Primary, Secondary, and Sixth Form pupils, aged 4-19, using behaviour analytic practices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Handle administrative duties in line with statutory requirements and school policies, including telephone support, message handling, processing mail, and ordering school supplies.
  • Ensure daily completion and maintenance of attendance registers, and report relevant information to key stakeholders such as the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, Governors, and the Department for Education (DfE).
  • Maintain up-to-date pupil records, communicating necessary changes to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist the School Business Manager in recruitment efforts and manage day-to-day school premises operations.
  • Support with school and pupil filing, document retention, correspondence, and compliance with the school’s Data Protection Policy.
  • Aid the School Business Manager in implementing Health & Safety protocols throughout the school.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the school.
Safeguarding and Welfare:
Actively adhere to and implement all school policies, particularly those related to Health & Safety, Child Protection, and Behaviour Management.
