Teaching Assistant – Start ASAP – Full-time – Crowborough, East Sussex, UK.

08:30 – 15:30 Monday to Friday – Term Time Only.

Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our Client, a fantastic, forward-thinking & ambitious special school specialising in PMLD, SLD and ASD near Crowborough. The pupil community is diverse & spans EYFS to KS4. 

This is a long-term, ongoing placement with a view to make permanent for the right candidate.

Rate of pay: £84+ per day (6.5 hours)

Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one (we can help you to obtain one before your start date)
Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
Confident working with children & young people with SEND
Resilience and a can-do, proactive attitude the young people can look up to
Experience working with children & young people (desired)
Experience working in SEND (desired)

Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher

Support the pupils (needs, pastoral, educational)

Understand individual needs & adapt approaches

Look for opportunities to help with the wider curriculum (school fairs, after school clubs etc).
